EBC will apply after 1st February in the recruitment of the Central Government

EBC will apply after 1st February in the recruitment of the Central Government

The central government last week amended the Constitution to make a provision for 10% quota in jobs and educational institutions for the economically backward sections among forward classes.
Consequent on the Centre making the legislation, state governments should make their own rules to implement the quota in state government jobs and local educational institutions.

According to sources, the AP government is framing rules to implement the new quota in the state. Once the rules are prepared and cleared by the state cabinet, a Bill will be introduced in the assembly. Incidentally, the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had supported the quota bill in Parliament, though it had criticised the BJP-led central government for turning down AP government’s plea to clear quota for Kapus.

Sources said that with the general elections a few months away, the state will come out with the 10% quota rules at the earliest

10% reservation for Economically Backward Class (EBC), Is it good move in Gujarat?

EBC reservation is very much needed. I dont no condition of general cast people of Gujrat. But I can say about Bengali General Cast People. In Bengal a people is poor (Economically Backward) if his/her family income is less than ₹ 25,000. Most of the farmers has agricultural land less than 3acre that mean their earning is very low. This EBC reservation rule will not benifit EBC people but harm them most.

Because:

The limits are unrealistic. ₹ 8,00,000 per year means more than ₹ 65,000 per month. Can you imagine in India how a family with this huge income may be economically backward? Its not USA or Europe. Its India. more than 95% Indian fall in this limit. And people of such income gives good amount of tax also. So how can you say that 95% people is economically bachward? yes they are backward in comparison with US, Europe, Singapore, Japan, Australia. But we have to calculate in Indian economical condition.

In India family earning of ₹25,000 per month i.e., ₹ 3,00,000 is considered descent earning.

So the limit should be ₹3,00,000 not ₹8,00,000.

Secondly, A farmers with 5 acres of land is not Economically back backwards. This limit should be max 3 acre.

And the worst criteria is the house of 1000 squar feet.

How a rural family of 1200 squar feet house and 2 acre land and earning off 5,000 per month become richer than a family of 800 squar feet house with ₹ 65,000 earning per month.

EBC will apply after 1st February in the recruitment of the Central Government
